Grants

One of IFF’s purposes, in addition to publishing information online, is to provide grants of financial assistance, to the extent permitted by law, to those affected by controversial groups, their friends and families, and other concerned members of the public, where such people are of limited means, to enable them to:

  • attend conferences, meetings, or support group sessions related to controversial groups;
  • receive specialized counseling or rehabilitation services which are designed for:
    • persons recovering from membership in controversial groups; or
    • persons with loved ones who are in controversial groups; and
  • bring or defend lawsuits, or obtain legal advice with respect to prospective lawsuits, against controversial groups, their leaders, or members, where such lawsuits or prospective lawsuits arise out of legal issues related to the unlawful or unethical activities of the controversial group.

Applicants may apply for one or more of the following grants by completing the Grant Application form.
